WOMEN INVEST IN BIOTECH
On October 13, 15:00, the third part of the WOMEN IN BIOTECH 2020 platform will be broadcasted live. The main speaker of the virtual event, Karen Griffith Gryga – an investor, entrepreneur, experienced venture capital fund manager with more than 25 years of experience working with start-ups and the development of them.
K. G. Gryga is currently the Chief Operating Officer of the medical diagnostic company “Biomeme”, which aims to provide people with COVID-19 tests at the national level. The test, developed by this company, is extremely sensitive and specific – it can detect the virus even in patients who have no symptoms or have not appeared yet.
She is also the managing partner and chief investment officer of the leading venture capital fund and business accelerator “DreamIt Fund” . K. G. Gryga helped to find “DreamIt Health” and founded the “DreamIt Athena” program, which encourages women to start business start-ups. K. G. Gryga also helped to set up more than 200 companies with shares worth nearly $ 2 billion.
The speaker is well known in the US business community. She previously served on the board of the Greater Philadelphia Venture Group for seven years and chaired the group from 1999-2000.
